About Aerospace HardwareOn June 15, 2009, Anixter Pentacon and Anixter Eurofast officially became the Aerospace Hardware division of Anixter Inc., dropping their old names to adapt the full Anixter Brand. The change was made to reflect the company's commitment to working as one unified company in serving customers and suppliers worldwide. Our Rebranding FAQ Brochure contains more information about the change and how it will affect your relationship with the company.

In 2002, Anixter, Inc made a strategic decision to join the fastener marketplace, relying on decades of distribution and supply chain expertise to carry over into this unique product segment. The first acquisition was known as Pentacon, Inc., which itself was created in 1998 during a strategic rollup of seven distributors who dated as far back as 1955. After acquiring this diverse company, Anixter split Pentacon’s aerospace and industrial OEM groups into Anixter Pentacon and Anixter Fasteners, each division has its own unique staff tailored to serve its unique customer base. By allowing each group to focus on its core strengths, Anixter's OEM supply division has since grown to more than $1.5 billion in annual worldwide sales. In 2007, Anixter acquired Eurofast SAS from LISI Aerospace. This strategic acquisition gave Anixter a stronger operating base to grow its business in Europe and expand its presence with blue-chip customers. This year, 2009, brought on the completion of Anixter Pentacon and Anixter Eurofast becoming one group under the Aerospace Hardware division of Anixter.
